NBA Basketball Arena Review - Amway Center
When attending an Orlando Magic home game at the Amway Center, visitors immediately feel as though they're a part of the Orlando Magic family. With knowledgeable fans and star players that have made the Magic into a perennial playoff powerhouse, home games have taken on a carnival atmosphere in recent years.  Interstate 4 is the main highway that takes you to the Amway Center exit, and there are plenty of road signs along the way that can ultimately point you in the right direction. While it's not difficult to find, since the Amway Center is in the heart of the Orlando area, be sure you have a general familiarity with the city before heading in.

While in town to watch the Orlando Magic, make sure that you try to acquire pre-paid parking puts you right next to the building. If you prefer not to pay for parking before attending the game, there are plenty of parking lots in downtown Orlando that provide easy access to the building.

Once inside the Amway Center, the real gameday fun begins.  The actual bowl of the Amway Center provides an astounding view of the court below, and ticket holders in attendance are able to watch the action up close and personal as it happens. A large video board that hangs over the court provides vivid replays of the action down on the court and offers an in-depth look at the inner workings of the organization. Beyond all of the sights and sounds that come standard with an Orlando Magic game, you also get to share in the excitement of the Orlando Magic fans that truly enjoy the game of basketball.

At some point during the game, hunger will most assuredly set in. This is when it's time to visit one of the many concession stands that are located throughout the concourse surrounding the bowl of the arena. For fans that are looking for a more relaxed, sit-down type of atmosphere, a visit to either Jernigan's or O3 Bar might be in order.   Reservations are required, and fans will be asked to show a ticket stub for the evening's contest before entering.  Jernigan's is an up-scale spot and the prices on the menu reflect the affluent nature of the clientele that frequent the place.  The food is good, but the atmosphere a bit sterile for NBA die hards.  The O3 Bar is more typical of a traditional pub experience that comes complete with a wet bar and great menu items.

Outside the arena, there are several local bars and restaurants that cater to the basketball fan who is looking for a good meal at a reasonable price. Spectators Sportsbar is perfect for those that want to keep up on other NBA games while enjoying some of the best traditional bar food in America. Spectators provides the perfect opportunity to get a pre- or post-game meal while not breaking the bank in the process. Another spectacular eating experience can be had at District Five. Whereas Spectators features a more up-beat type of restaurant atmosphere, District Five is a little more low key in what it offers to patrons. This does not mean, however, that there food is any less tempting. In fact, District Five has won many local awards for the food that it serves on a nightly basis.

Roxy Orlando is one of those trendy nightclubs in the city of Orlando that offers everything from dancing to drinking and anything else in between. With a plethora of different theme nights, Roxy Orlando is the quintessential dance club in this area of Florida. Depending on which night you choose to attend, Roxy Orlando plays different styles of music that can appeal to most any audience member. There is certainly a good time for everyone to be had at Roxy Orlando. After an exciting Orlando Magic home game at Amway Arena, make sure that Antigua is another club that is also on the list for nightly excitement. With a beautiful tropical theme and plenty of drink specials, Antigua provides that touch of class to the nightlife offerings that it makes available..

Universal Studios is just one option when looking for various points of interest that will intrigue a person of any age. This movie-based theme park makes it easy for people to enjoy an entire day of attractions and excitement before they head off to the Orlando Magic game. Covering 840 acres, Universal Studios has plenty of room for everyone to be able to enjoy the warm Florida air. If there is one place in Orlando that attracts a very diverse group of people while creating special memories at the same time, it is Walt Disney World. Many people have passed through the gates of Disney World over the years, and it has become a national representation of fun and excitement. Be sure that Disney World is a part of any travel plans to the Orlando area.

The Amway Center is the newest sports arena in the National Basketball Association, and it is also proving to be one of the most special experiences for people looking to have a great time with other individuals who enjoy taking in an Orlando Magic game. As the arena and the Magic fan base continue to grow, so will the success of the organization, and that can be directly attributed to the quality of the Orlando Magic organization.

Denise Mirsky from Daytona Beach, FL 1st experience/nose bleeder seats
Bringing my 17yrold son to a Magic game during his home pass from Military school was a REAL experience. The nose bleeder seats were sooo high that the TV camera couldn't shoot high enough for us or anyone else at our level to participate in the fun. The T-shirt gun needed to be SUPER charged to reach anyone in our level. Once again leaving us out of any of the FUN. Looks to me there needs to be some improvement for the nose bleeders sections. Thank GOD for the HUGE TV screen. That kept us well informed of the activities going on in the arena.
