NBA Basketball Arena Review
- Oracle Arena
Constructed in 1966, Oracle Arena has
seen a great deal of change and renovation over the years, but
it is still one of those NBA arenas that you have to see at
least once in your life. With room for just under 20,000 fans,
Oracle Arena offers a cozy atmosphere, which keeps you firmly
entrenched in the on-court action. With young stars like Stephen
Curry leading the way, the Golden State Warriors are introducing
a new generation of Warriors players to fans, young and old
alike. With a focus on giving the customer the best service and
the most value for their dollar, the Golden State Warriors makes
the Oracle Arena experience one that you will remember well into
the future.
Oracle Arena
is located right next door to Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum,
which plays host to the Oakland Athletics and Oakland Raiders.
The residual effect is plenty of parking and easy access to the
building. Located right on Highway 880, the arena can easily be
reached from every direction. You will want to allow a little
extra time during rush hour traffic, as it can become slightly
congested in the area from time to time. Parking takes place in
the direct vicinity of the building, which affords you the
opportunity to have your car looked after by police officers and
security staff while you are enjoying the game. There are three
different public transportation options for you to look into as
well: Bay Area Rapid Transit, Capitol Corridor, and AC Transit.
Each carries their own rates and routes, so you will want to
call or obtain a daily schedule to see when is the best time to
use this accommodation.

You will also
be able to find the usual assortment of concession stands
available to you on all three levels of Oracle Arena. The lines
are generally short, and there is plenty of room to move about
within the concourse area. The prices of the food and beverages
inside of the arena are typical of what you would find in normal
arenas across the country, and you have plenty of choices as to
which kind of food you would like to indulge in. If you are able
to obtain reservations, Levi Restaurants offer three Clubs
within Oracle Arena that provide a pleasant, traditional
restaurant experience while serving you with good food at a
valuable price.
If you are
looking for good restaurants to eat outside of Oracle Arena,
there are a couple of spots that offer great American food along
with an upbeat atmosphere that makes visiting these restaurants
a genuine good time. On Hegenberger Road, less than half-a-mile
from the arena, is Cafe California, which offers all of your
American favorites while allowing you to sit outside on their
expansive deck to enjoy a beautiful day in Oakland. For more of
a bar-type experience, head over to the east section of Oakland
known as Fruitvale. There you will find the Golden Hours Lounge,
which offers the usual neighborhood bar experience with abundant
choices of bottled beers and world-class liquors.
Oasis Bar,
located on 12th Street in the Lake Merritt neighborhood of
Oakland, not only offers one of the best places to dance in the
city of Oakland, but they also serve high-quality drinks if you
need some refreshments before you get your groove on. With live
bands most every night of the week, Oasis Bar certainly offers a
memorable experience for anyone looking for a little extra from
their nightlife. You'll also want to check out Club Paradiso,
which offers a full bar with patio dancing for those that get a
little too warm inside. With a great atmosphere and very nice
bartenders, Club Paradiso is definitely a place that you want to
visit if you are looking for Oakland nightclubs.
There are many
different points of interest and activities that you will want
to look into when you are coming to Oracle Arena. If you want to
learn about the history of California, visit the Oakland Museum
of California. With exhibits that include nature, art, and
old-school California, the Oakland Museum of California is
really one place that you can't afford to miss. Of course, you
will also want to visit the famous Oakland Zoo, which is known
for producing awe-inspiring moments for both children and adults
alike. The Oakland Zoo is located in a nice hilly section of
Oakland, so you are able to enjoy the landscape of Oakland at
the same time.
While it won't
dazzle you with outstanding displays of technological
advancement, Oracle Arena has the atmosphere and style of one of
the top arenas in the NBA. With the Golden State Warriors
climbing back to relevancy in the NBA, it is only a matter of
time before this franchise begins to revisit the success that it
had in the '60s and '70s. Don't miss out on a wonderful
opportunity to visit the city of Oakland, and its main
attraction, Oracle Arena.

Where To
Stay:
Honestly, its tough to recommend a place to stay in Oakland. With San
Francisco right across the bay and all the things to see and do there,
my suggestion is that you take the Bay Bridge and stay in San
Francisco. Oakland isn't exactly the safest spot or the most
picturesque.
Getting to the Arena:
Oracle Arena is accessible by the Bay Area Rapid Transit system (BART).
Taking BART you can directly enter the Coliseum Complex from the BART
Station/Coliseum ramp. |
